Case Study – Eden Brae Homes Head Office, Australia

Project Overview

Eden Brae Homes’ Australian head office is recorded as a 2023 workplace project of approximately 5,000 square metres. The available images show a generous shared hub that brings together refreshment, dining, informal meetings and everyday social interaction.

The space adopts a hospitality-inspired approach. Rather than treating the kitchen and breakout area as secondary support functions, the interior gives them the warmth and presence of a central destination.

Interior Vision

Timber cabinetry and flooring establish a warm foundation, balanced by deep green tile, pale textured walls and exposed services overhead. Large communal tables and timber chairs make the setting familiar and approachable, while lounge seating provides a softer alternative nearby.

Curved wall details and globe lighting ease the industrial ceiling language, helping the shared zone feel welcoming across different moments of the working day.

Furniture Integration

Communal hub

• A large table supports shared meals, informal meetings and team gatherings.
• Timber chairs reinforce the residential warmth of the setting.
• The table’s generous scale creates a clear social anchor within the open plan.

Alternative settings

• Lounge seating offers a more relaxed posture for conversation or short breaks.
• Smaller tables extend choice beyond the main communal setting.
• Furniture placement keeps circulation open between the kitchen and adjacent work areas.

Result

The shared hub functions as more than a staff kitchen. Through warm materials, varied seating and a clear communal centre, it supports connection and gives the workplace a recognisable social heart.

Yuulyn Insights

• Hospitality cues can make workplace amenities more inviting and more frequently used.
• A strong communal table creates a natural focal point for culture and informal exchange.
• Shared spaces work best when they offer several postures and levels of social engagement.
